KENDRA MYERS
In 2004 a college friend brought me to my first Ashtanga yoga class with Christine Hoar in Bristol, VT. I had no idea what to expect, and I fell in love with the practice that first day. Seventeen years later I am still in love with Ashtanga, and in awe of the many ways it teaches, inspires and heals. In addition to a five-year apprenticeship and ongoing study with Christine, I have also studied extensively with Nancy Gilgoff and Tim Miller, as well as Louise Ellis. I teach primarily with my hands, and try to stay true to the tradition of focused, breath-centered, joyful practice that each of my teachers has passed on to me. When I am not teaching I am a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Functional Medicine Practitioner, and mama to my daughter and son.
